Alpha Trade Resources Group keep the health and safety of our team and workplace over everything. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and adhere to the safety protocols to boost productivity, health and safety.

This health & safety policy sets out our responsibilities towards the employees and the company as whole. We understand the importance of health & safety policy at a workplace and make sure it is critically met.

Any obligations imposed in this policy other than those set out under legislation are not contractual and do not give rise to any contractual rights. This policy clearly depicts and lay out the benefits and entitlements for employees, other than those set out under the legislation.

The terms and conditions of employment that are intended to be contractual are set in an employee’s written employment contract provided by the employer.

1. The company is committed to:

  • incorporating occupational safety into all facets of operations;
  • recognising dangers, evaluating risk, and putting control measures in place to reduce the possibility of property damage and injury;
  • ensuring the enforcement of pertinent health and safety rules that pertain to workplace environments and working situations;
  • creating and implementing safe work practises;
  • supplying suitable safety education, guidance, and oversight;
  • creating, acquiring, implementing, and maintaining a secure environment and equipment;
  • ensuring that the workplace they govern is secure and free from unnecessary health risks;
  • ensuring that everyone behaves in a way that is safe and poses no unnecessary hazards to their health at work;
  • attempting to fix all issues with regard to the health and safety of employees at work;
  • addressing safety concerns and improving decision-making about workplace health and safety by consulting with employees and other stakeholders; and
  • aiding and supporting employees in managing and recovering from injuries.

2. All employees and contractors are required to:

  • follow safety guidelines, regulations, and restrictions;
  • report harmful working conditions or tools to the company;
  • not abuse anything made available for workplace health and safety, damage it, refuse to utilise it, or meddle with it;
  • perform all tasks at work in a way that protects your health and safety and the health and safety of everyone else around you;
  • encourage co-workers to establish and maintain a secure and healthy workplace; and
  • work together with all other employees to ensure that everyone can fulfil their health and safety obligations.

3. About communication and consultation

We understand that employee input and participation in our safety system is critical and improves workplace decision making on health and safety issues. Consultation is also involved in the risk assessment and development of our safe work practices. Meetings to advise and enlighten employees on safety problems must be held at staff meetings on a regular basis.

We expect our employees to work with the management in order to effectively manage health and safety on the workplace.

Employees are encouraged to contribute to decisions that may affect their health and safety at the workplace, through contact with management and staff meetings.

4. Rehabilitation & Return To Work For Workplace Injuries

The Company takes a proactive approach to injury management, emphasising a safe, prompt, and sustainable return to work programme for injured or ill employees. We are dedicated to:

  • Prompt notification of injuries;
  • Communication and consultation with all parties in order to design a suitable return-to-work programme;
  • Understanding of accountability and duty for injury management;
  • Provision of appropriate relevant activities during the process of returning to work; and
  • Dispute resolution, when needed.
  • In order to achieve these goals, the Company will take the following constructive steps:
  • Injuries should be reported as soon as possible.
  • Appropriate and timely medical intervention, as well as preparation for return to work;
  • Provision of appropriate resources and useful duties for the injured employee;
  • Positive support and encouragement during the rehabilitation process; and

The Company will collaborate with employees to evaluate and update this policy, as well as other work health and safety rules and procedures, on a regular basis.
